Privacy Policy for Jaziento
Last Updated: October 26, 2026
At Jaziento (“we,” “our,” or “us”), we believe that your short-term rental operational data, financial records, and guest information belong to you. We built Jaziento to be local-first and privacy-first. This Privacy Policy explains how our software and website handle information, and how the software is designed to keep your records on your own device rather than on our servers.
1. Our Core Principle: Your Records Stay on Your Device
Unlike traditional cloud-based software or SaaS platforms, Jaziento is designed to run client-side, within your web browser.
- Account information only: Apart from the items in the box above, we do not intentionally store anything else about you on our servers, and passwords are not kept as plain text. To sign up or log in, use the same email address you used to make your purchase.
- We do not collect or store your business data: All property details, financial transactions, P&L rollups, Schedule E tax categories, and guest logs entered into Jaziento remain locally on your device (via browser local storage or your own manual file management).
- Your records are not sent to us: Apart from the account information above, we do not maintain cloud databases or centralized repositories containing your portfolio information. The software is designed not to upload your records, so we are not able to view, access, audit, or share them.
2. No Third-Party Financial or Banking Integrations
Jaziento deliberately avoids cloud-based bank-linking services and external data scrapers.
- Your financial tracking is managed locally through imported records, manual entry, or structured files.
- Because the software does not connect to your bank or to third-party data pipelines, and we never ask for your bank login, your bank credentials are not shared through our software.
3. Native JSON Backups and User Data Control
You own your data and decide when to export it:
- Local Backups: Jaziento provides native JSON backup and restore controls, allowing you to export your database directly to your local machine in seconds.
- Data Deletion: Because your data lives locally in your browser or on your personal device, clearing your browser cache or deleting your local backup files removes your data from that environment. We do not keep a copy of your records, so we cannot restore them for you. Copies you exported yourself, or that exist in your own device or cloud backups, stay until you delete them. Your account information (email address and password) is separate and is not affected by clearing your browser.
4. Website Visitors & Direct Communications
If you visit our informational website, send us a message, download our guides, or purchase a lifetime software license via our digital fulfillment partner (Gumroad):
- Contact Form and Email: If you send a message through the contact form on our About page, we receive the name, email address, topic, and message you type in. It is delivered to us by email through our website host. We use it to reply to you and to handle your request. Please do not include passwords, card numbers, bank details, or tax ID numbers in a message. If you email us at support@jaziento.com, we receive whatever you send.
- Transaction Data: Payment processing and license delivery are handled by Gumroad, which has its own privacy policy. We do not collect, process, or store your credit card numbers or banking details on our website; we only receive basic transaction confirmation and email details necessary to fulfill your lifetime software access.
- Website Tracking: We do not intentionally use tracking pixels, third-party cookies, or analytics scripts on our website. Our website host and Gumroad may collect their own routine technical logs (such as IP addresses) under their own policies.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product enhancements, legal updates, or changes in our software structure. Any updates will be posted directly on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
